In his first solo appearance in a decade, former X-Men star and Marvel Comics creator, Stan Lee, tells the magazine’s August issue that his vision for the future is a bright green electric tricycles, with all the futuristic features.
“I would like to see these tricyclists going everywhere,” Lee said.
“It’s a very exciting time to be a superhero, but also a time to explore new ways to take advantage of the environment.
That’s what I like to do.
I like the idea of the tricycle.”
Lee also shared that he’s not a big fan of a lot of the futuristic technology on display in the movies.
“There’s a lot more technology in those movies than I do in the tricycling industry, but they’re all done in such a beautiful way, so I don’t want to be one of those people who says, ‘Oh, these are the new things,’ ” Lee said in the interview.
“I want to get down to the basics, and just try to do the things that make me happy.
I’m a very traditional guy.”
Lee said he’s always been inspired by the old tricycine designs, like those in the ’60s film, The Wizard of Oz.
The director of the film, Peter O’Toole, was inspired by Lee’s design ideas in an interview with Time magazine.
“In a movie like The Wizard, you get to see the real life world of the people who were driving the tricies,” Lee told Time magazine in 1971.
“He was a very intelligent guy, and he knew exactly how to use the technology.
I think he was inspired to make a tricycle in that film.”
Lee told EW that the trycles would be “very fun to ride” and would “feel like you’re in a car, but you’re a little bit of a cyborg in that you’re not wearing a helmet.”
The future of the movie tricycopter would depend on whether the character was male or female.
In the new film, the trcycles are shown to be powered by solar energy.
Lee is known for creating a new kind of hero for himself, and his characters in the X-books and comics, which are his lifelong passions.
