By Tim FlandersA toddler’s new toy is about to make its first splash in Australia, but the toy has yet to be made by a manufacturer.
Toddlers are one of the most popular products in the country, with manufacturers including the US-based Goody’s, which made the Tricycle for $9.95 in Australia last year.
The company also made the tricycle for a year in 2014, and it’s still in production.
But in July 2017, Goody announced it was no longer manufacturing Tricycles.
The reason for the change?
Goody says its “unsuccessful” to keep making them.
“We just wanted to make sure we were investing in new technologies and technology advancements,” Goody said in a statement to ABC News.
“This is an exciting time for toy makers.
Our market has seen significant growth, and we’re excited to see how this technology will continue to evolve.”
While Goody has been mum about its future plans, it’s already been made for Australia.
The Tricycle is available for pre-order for $99.95.
The toy will be released in October 2018.
